Best paper award

A best paper award was launched in Bordeaux (WONV4). The members of the selection committee were:

- Dr. Frederik CARLSSON  (University of Gothenburg, Sweden)
- Dr. Phoebe KOUNDOURI (Athens University of Economics and Business, LSE, ICRE8, Greece)
- Dr. Bengt KRISTRÖM (CERE, Umea University, Sweden)
- Dr. Jordan LOUVIERE (University of South Australia Business, Australia)

Among the 14 early stage researchers (PhD student or researcher who has recently completed his/her PhD, 3 years), the three laureates were:

Adan will be invited to present his/her paper in CERE – Centre for Environmental and Resource Economics, in Umea, Sweden.

Adan is a researcher in the Centre for Energy Policy and Economics (CEPE), ETH-Zurich. He has carried out non-market valuation of peri-urban forests, marine ecosystems, and alpine forests.  He is currently exploring the feasibility of combining non-market valuation and expert elicitation. His research agenda includes the impact evaluation of emission-based taxes, particularly in the Swiss transportation sector. Erlend Dancke Sandorf is a PhD candidate at UiT – The Arctic University of Norway. His research focuses on valuation of complex and unfamiliar ecosystem services, where he has looked into challenges related to choice of survey mode and attribute processing strategies.
